Direct Send, now from your own tools
Your own system or AI assistant can now reply to customers after 24 hours with a normal WhatsApp message, through Spur’s API and MCP.

Once Meta turns on Direct Send for your WhatsApp account, your team can reply after the 24-hour window with a normal WhatsApp message. Now your own system can do the same through Spur’s API, and so can AI assistants connected to Spur.
Use it to tell a customer their order shipped, their delivery moved or their support request is sorted, even days after they last messaged you. It reaches them as plain text, with no template to approve.

How to use it
- From your own system: send one message to one contact with the Direct Send endpoint in Spur’s API. Inside the 24-hour window it goes out as a normal message.
- From an AI assistant: connect Claude, or another assistant that supports MCP, and it can use Spur’s Direct Send tool. See all MCP tools
Good to know
- Replies and updates only. Never use it for offers or discounts: Meta can pause or remove Direct Send for accounts that use it for marketing.
- Only contacts who have messaged you before, and never contacts who opted out.
- Text only, up to 1,024 characters, one contact at a time. To message many contacts, use a broadcast.
- On paid plans, once Meta has turned on Direct Send for your WhatsApp account. Meta bills each message at the utility rate.
