Spur vs QuickReply.ai: one AI agent across every channel, not just WhatsApp.

QuickReply.ai is a deep WhatsApp commerce playbook for India D2C. We're the multi-channel layer for teams that also live on Instagram, Messenger and a website chat widget. $31/mo published, with a 7-day trial — versus QuickReply's $59/mo Shopify entry that hides behind a demo call.

No credit card. No demo required. Live on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and web chat in a few hours.

If you only read three things

Three reasons D2C teams pick Spur over QuickReply.ai.

Multi-channel by default, AI trained on your knowledge base, no demo to start. The rest of this page is the receipts.

01 · One agent

1 brain

Web chat · WhatsApp · Instagram · Messenger

Train one AI on your site, help docs, PDFs and YouTube transcripts — deploy it to all four channels in one click. QuickReply's surface is broader on paper, but the AI is built around campaign playbooks, not a knowledge-base agent. Reviewer Shashank M. on G2 explicitly asked for "a one-stop response solution covering Instagram, emails and WhatsApp."

02 · The math

$31/mo

AI Start · WhatsApp + Shopify · annual

Spur's website pricing is published on one page with full add-on math — extra agents, channels, seats, credits. QuickReply's main pricing page renders prices as --/mo and routes you to a demo. India page shows ₹2,999. Shopify shows $59. G2 lists $39. Three surfaces, three numbers, one quote-driven motion.

03 · The path

No demo.

Sign up, configure, ship the same day.

Spur is built for self-serve buyers who want to test before talking to sales. QuickReply's main funnel is sales-led. Boopr (Romania) and GX Digital (Brazil) both gave 1★ within hours over forced demo gating. Joyería Stainless Dreams got blocked for not speaking English. Different motion, different customer.

What you actually get

One inbox. Four channels. One AI brain trained on your store.

The same AI agent handles WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and web chat — trained on your URL, help docs, PDFs and YouTube. Custom AI Actions hit your backend for order lookups, refunds, discounts and meeting bookings. Humans take over the moment something gets interesting.

Not every team should switch. Here's an honest 30-second filter.

QuickReply.ai is a genuinely strong WhatsApp commerce stack with deep India D2C playbooks and named account managers. We're a different shape — one AI agent across every conversation channel, self-serve, published pricing. Pick the one that matches what you're actually trying to build.

Pick QuickReply.ai if

  • 70%+ of your revenue conversation lives on WhatsApp, with deep CoD confirmation, CoD-to-prepaid and broadcast retry playbooks.
  • You want a named account manager hand-holding flow setup, Meta verification and weekend campaign troubleshooting.
  • Your Indian commerce stack runs on GoKwik, Shopflo, Razorpay Magic Checkout, Cashfree, Shiprocket and Nimbus Post.
  • You need RCS, SMS or product browsing abandonment as a first-class channel — we don't cover those.
  • You're a 2+ year happy QuickReply customer with a working setup. Don't churn unless you have a specific reason to.
  • A demo call before you can touch the product is fine — you treat that as a feature, not friction.
Most teams searching land here

Pick Spur if

  • You want one AI agent across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger AND your website's live chat — not just WhatsApp commerce automation.
  • You want the AI trained on your real knowledge base — website, help docs, PDFs, YouTube transcripts and custom Q&A — not playbook bots.
  • Published pricing and a 7-day trial matter to you. You'd rather model the spreadsheet first than book a Calendly.
  • Instagram-first marketing is core — comment-to-DM, click-to-DM ads, IG Live conversion flows.
  • You want a real shared inbox with ticketing, search, pinning and chat-age flagging — exactly what QuickReply reviewers keep asking for.
  • You want a developer surface — REST API, webhooks, HTTP Request actions, MCP server — for automations beyond no-code.

The math, in full

If "Pick Spur" described you — here's exactly what you'd pay.

Spur's prices below are pulled live from spurnow.com/pricing. QuickReply's prices are stitched from three of their own surfaces — main pricing page, India "demo" page and Shopify App Store listing — because there isn't one unified price for the same product.

The honest read: there is no single QuickReply price for the same product. A Shopify customer at $59 Starter is not getting the same packaging as an India-channel customer at ₹2,999 Starter. The buyer move is to ask for a written quote.

Disclaimers: QuickReply Shopify Starter and India "demo" page entitlements differ. Spur website plan and Shopify App Store plan also differ (AI Start = $39/mo on Shopify with 10 flows / 10 segments) — confirm which billing channel governs your contract. Both platforms exclude WhatsApp Meta pass-through, which is identical. Failed-message recovery (QuickReply Smart Utility Fallback) and template recategorization risk apply on either side.

Why the gap exists

Six things D2C buyers say out loud about QuickReply.ai.

These are themes that show up in QuickReply's own G2 and Shopify review threads. We cite every one. Click any source to verify it yourself.

1

Price isn't on the website.

QuickReply's main pricing page currently renders plan prices as --/mo. India "demo" page shows ₹2,999 / ₹7,499 / ₹14,999. Shopify shows $59 / $149 / $299. G2 lists $39 / $99 / $199. Same plan names, three different price tags.

2

Forced demo gating burns fast buyers.

GX Digital (Brazil) gave 1★ after about nine hours: "you can't do anything without making a call with them." Boopr (Romania) similar. Joyería Stainless Dreams (Mexico) said the app "was not available for Mexico."

3

Inbox depth keeps coming up.

Even happy QuickReply users ask for it. Manoj K. wants WhatsApp chat search. Ayesha R. wants pinning and chat-age flagging. Shashank M. wants "a one-stop response solution covering Instagram, emails and WhatsApp." Operator-side workflows are thinner than the campaign side.

4

Failed-message visibility is reactive.

The Curvves (India, 2+ year customer, April 2026): failed-message issues weren't proactively monitored, and the merchant had to inform QuickReply. To their credit, QuickReply has now shipped broadcast auto-retry — but the customer expectation has been set.

5

Mobile is thin per reviewers.

Saakshi D. on G2 explicitly asks for "a simpler, mobile-friendly version" so teams can track and operate messages on mobile. There's no native consumer-app-store mobile app at this writing; a 2024 update touts "access on mobile without an app download," which a 2026 G2 reviewer suggests is not the same as mobile usability.

6

Spur's Shopify rating is the cleaner signal.

QuickReply has more public review volume — 214 reviews at 4.8 on Shopify, 68 at 4.8 on G2. Spur's Shopify rating is 5.0 / 108 with a cleaner distribution — every recent reviewer cites WhatsApp/Instagram automation, cart recovery and fast setup.

Where QuickReply.ai wins

  1. 01

    WhatsApp commerce playbook depth

CoD confirmation, CoD-to-prepaid, product browsing abandonment, broadcast retry, frequency control, geo-fencing, dead-audience filtering, Smart Utility Fallback. That's a D2C retention stack, not a generic chatbot.

  2. 02

    India commerce integrations

GoKwik, Shopflo, Razorpay Magic Checkout, Cashfree, Shiprocket, Nimbus Post, Judge.me, Loox, Zoho CRM, LeadSquared, Freshdesk. If your stack already runs on those, QuickReply slots in cleanly.

  3. 03

    White-glove implementation

Named account managers — Neha, Rochan, Saloni, Rahul, Rinkesh, Debanita appear by name in Shopify reviews — with weekend availability and Meta verification hand-holding. Plus tier bundles custom chatbot setup, NLP training and custom integrations.

  4. 04

RCS & SMS as first-class channels

If your channel mix includes RCS or SMS — we don't cover those. One G2 reviewer specifically praises QuickReply's RCS support.

  5. 05

    Public review volume

214 Shopify reviews + 68 G2 reviews at 4.8 stars. That's a larger evidence base than our 108 Shopify reviews, even if our distribution is cleaner at 5.0.

  6. 06

    Funded SaaS, multi-entity setup

$1.14M seed (Leo Capital, 2023), Singapore parent + India subsidiary + Intelliticks IP arm. If your procurement team prefers a funded vendor with a multi-entity contract surface, that's a real signal.

  7. 07

    Indian commerce roots

Their happiest customers are Indian Shopify D2C brands running aggressive WhatsApp retention. MyHues, Menoveda, Everdion, Kaithari Nesavu Sarees, Sassoon Fab, Green and Beige — that's the buyer profile they were built for.

Where Spur wins

  1. 01

    One AI agent, four channels

Train one knowledge-base agent and deploy it to web chat, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger from the same surface. Exactly what Shashank M. asked for on G2.

  2. 02

Knowledge base ingestion as the abstraction

Paste your URL, drop in PDFs and help docs, pull YouTube transcripts, add custom Q&A — the AI answers from your actual docs, not a playbook script. Custom AI Actions then hit order lookup, refunds, discounts, CRM, meeting booking.

  3. 03

    Published pricing & a real 7-day trial

$12 / $31 / $127 / $399 on the website, with extra-agent, channel, seat and credit add-ons published next to the plans. Trial doesn't require a Calendly invite. An FP&A person can model it in 10 minutes.

  4. 04

    Instagram-first marketing motion

Comment-to-DM, click-to-DM ads, IG Live conversion flows. Libas hit ~6% conversion on a 1,000-viewer IG Live with comment automation. We've co-hosted Insta AI Summit sessions at Meta HQ Gurugram and Meta Office Mumbai.

  5. 05

    Shared inbox with operator-grade depth

The pinning, flagging, chat-age, search and "covers IG + email + WhatsApp" surface QuickReply reviewers keep asking for — built across web, WhatsApp, IG and Messenger from day one.

  6. 06

Developer surface — REST + Webhooks + MCP

Public Swagger at api.spurnow.com/docs, HTTP Request actions inside flows, a Spur MCP server exposing tools for templates, contacts, segments, broadcasts. Build past no-code without filing a ticket.

  7. 07

    Founder-led support

We're a 10-person bootstrapped team. When you message us, the response often comes from a founder or someone who built the feature you're asking about — not a tier-1 macro.

Six head-to-head verdicts

Still on the fence? Pick by the job you actually have.

Six common buying decisions, each with a one-paragraph verdict. Skim the labels — they tell you which way each one points.

AI agent for support

Winner: Spur

Train one agent on your URL + docs + YouTube + custom Q&A; deploy to web + WhatsApp + IG + Messenger. QuickReply's AI is mostly playbook-shaped chatbots — strong for commerce, thinner on knowledge-base ingestion.

See the AI agent

WhatsApp commerce

Winner: QuickReply

QuickReply's published WhatsApp playbook is genuinely deeper: CoD confirmation, CoD-to-prepaid, browsing abandonment, broadcast retry, frequency control, dead-audience filtering, Smart Utility Fallback. If 90% of your revenue retention is WhatsApp, this is real.

CoD confirmCoD-to-prepaidBrowse abandonAuto-retry

Instagram automation

Winner: Spur

Comment-to-DM, click-to-DM ads, IG Live conversion flows are core to us — with Meta-stage proof from Insta AI Summit at Meta HQ Gurugram and Meta Office Mumbai. QuickReply supports IG, but the center of gravity is WhatsApp.

See Instagram playbook

Shopify integration

Both strong

Both cover abandoned cart, order updates and Shopify events. QuickReply has deeper integration with the Indian commerce stack (GoKwik, Shopflo, Razorpay Magic). Spur has 5.0 / 108 with a cleaner distribution and links to Klaviyo, Stripe and Zapier.

Onboarding model

Depends on buyer

Want a named account manager hand-holding you through Meta verification and broadcast setup with weekend availability? QuickReply. Want to sign up, configure and ship the same afternoon without a Calendly link? Spur.

Pricing transparency

Winner: Spur

Spur's website shows every plan, every add-on, side-by-side. QuickReply's main pricing page renders --/mo; India page shows ₹2,999 / ₹7,499 / ₹14,999; Shopify shows $59 / $149 / $299; G2 lists $39 / $99 / $199. Same plan names, four price tags.

Migration · the honest version

Moving off QuickReply.ai? Here's what actually transfers and what doesn't.

BSP-to-BSP migration is a Meta-side reality, not a vendor trick. The WhatsApp number can move, your WABA verification and quality tier stay intact — but chat history is erased and flow logic doesn't transfer between platforms. Plan for 2–6 weeks depending on complexity.

What carries over with the WABA

  • WhatsApp Business Account verification (the blue tick) — no re-verification needed.
  • Message quality tier (high / medium / low) — tied to the WABA, not the BSP.
  • Approved templates — can be re-submitted and approved within Meta's standard window.
  • Contacts & segments — CSV-importable.
  1. 01

    Talk to us before disconnecting

Our team will walk through the technical sequence so chat history loss is planned, not surprise.

  2. 02

    Archive what matters

Export contact histories, template content and campaign analytics from QuickReply before the cutover.

  3. 03

    Migrate the WhatsApp number

BSP-to-BSP. WABA verification + quality tier carry over. Chat history is erased on the new BSP — Meta-side rule, not vendor-side.

  4. 04

    Train the Spur AI agent

Crawl your site, help docs, PDFs and YouTube transcripts. Use your old QuickReply macros and KB as training inputs — faster ramp than starting from scratch.

  5. 05

    Rebuild priority flows

Cart recovery, order updates, comment-to-DM, broadcast templates, drip campaigns. Most teams use this as a chance to clean up flow cruft.

  6. 06

    Reconnect Shopify + ads

Disconnect QuickReply's Shopify app, install Spur's. Reconnect Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Click-to-WhatsApp ad signals.

  7. 07

Run 2–3 weeks of monitored cutover

Watch delivery rate, AI resolution rate, time-to-first-response and cart recovery revenue. Realistic timeline: 2–3 weeks for a typical 3–5 flow setup, 4–6 weeks for heavier setups with custom integrations. Plan around your QuickReply renewal date — their terms say fees are non-refundable once paid and late payments can incur 1.5% monthly interest.

Diligence checklist

Ask these in writing — before you sign either contract.

We've seen too many teams buy the wrong tool and stay locked in. Asking these up front saves the messy email thread in month seven. Both vendors should welcome the questions — if either side dodges, that's a signal in itself.

For QuickReply.ai

  1. 1.Which legal entity signs my contract — QuickReply Private Limited (Singapore), QuickReply Technologies India Private Limited, or Intelliticks Technologies Private Limited?
  2. 2.What's the exact quote for my use case — base plan + agents + Shopify + extra channels + WhatsApp messaging + setup + support tier + taxes + overages + refund terms?
  3. 3.Show me the current message rate card by country and category, and a sample invoice with message charges broken out.
  4. 4.What exactly is your AI trained on? Can it ingest help docs, website pages, PDFs, YouTube transcripts, custom Q&A — or is it primarily playbook/chatbot logic?
  5. 5.Who monitors failed messages? Do you proactively detect, auto-retry, alert and escalate — or do I discover failures myself? (Reference: The Curvves, April 2026.)
  6. 6.Am I on legacy campaigns/drips or new Journeys? What changes around the June 2026 API/campaign sunset?
  7. 7.Is there a working public status page? The one linked in your docs returned a 404 at last check.
  8. 8.Show me your current SOC 2 / ISO evidence, subprocessors, data residency, WhatsApp BSP path, breach notification, deletion/archival terms and the mobile experience.

For Spur

  1. 1.Which Spur entity signs my contract? The registered entity is Spurtastic Technologies Private Limited; ask for an entity-correct DPA.
  2. 2.Which pricing channel governs my contract — website plans or Shopify App Store plans? Flow/segment/credit caps differ; AI Max credits are 20k on website but 40k on Shopify.
  3. 3.What's the current security packet — SOC 2 controls documentation, subprocessor schedule, audit summary — and how do we receive it? Email security@spurnow.com under NDA.
  4. 4.Subprocessor schedule — which AI model vendors process our customer data, and can we have them named in our DPA?
  5. 5.Where does our data sit? AWS Frankfurt + WhatsApp data localization Europe, but also Google CDN/NLP and Cloudflare — confirm what flows where.
  6. 6.What happens to unused AI credits and the WhatsApp wallet balance if we cancel? (Get this in writing before topping up large balances.)
  7. 7.Trial terms — 7 days, no credit card required, full access to AI Acquire / AI Start features?
  8. 8.In-app WhatsApp wallet rate for our country and category — and the markup over Meta's per-message rate today?

Common questions, handled in plain English.

If your question isn't here, message us on WhatsApp or email — we usually reply within the hour during business hours, often faster.

Talk to a human
Is Spur a full QuickReply.ai replacement?

For D2C teams who want one AI agent across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and website live chat — in most cases, yes. For India-D2C teams whose entire revenue motion is built around QuickReply's deeper WhatsApp commerce playbook (CoD-to-prepaid, browsing abandonment, broadcast retry) with a named account manager hand-holding setup — no, and we'll tell you that. The "Where QuickReply wins" section above is your honest test.

Is Spur cheaper than QuickReply.ai?

On the published Shopify channel, yes — we start at $39/mo (annual, 10 flows, 2,000 credits) versus QuickReply Starter at $59/mo. On the website channel we start at $31/mo with 25 flows and 2,000 credits, no demo required. On the India "demo" channel QuickReply's ₹2,999 Starter undercuts our website price; ask for a side-by-side quote with messaging fees included. WhatsApp Meta pass-through is identical on either platform.

How does Spur's AI pricing compare to QuickReply's?

We use a flat AI credit model. Each plan includes an allowance — 100 / 2,000 / 12,000 / 20,000 credits — and extra credits cost $12 per 1,000. The whole AI bill fits on one line in your spreadsheet. QuickReply's AI pricing is plan-bundled and not consistently published across surfaces; you'll get the AI cost as part of a quote rather than a transparent credit number. Both approaches are defensible; the credit model is easier to budget when you're small.

Can I keep QuickReply and add Spur for Instagram / web chat?

Yes, and plenty of teams do exactly that — QuickReply for the WhatsApp commerce playbook they're already running, Spur for the Instagram automation + AI-trained live chat layer. The two coexist as long as you keep WhatsApp on one BSP. We can hand off context between platforms via webhooks, our REST API or shared Shopify customer fields. It's often the cleanest first step — pilot without ripping anything out, then decide on your renewal.

What about WATI, Interakt, AiSensy, BiteSpeed?

All legitimate for the right team. WATI is the cheap WhatsApp-first inbox — light on AI and IG. Interakt is the broad WhatsApp SaaS for India SMB — lighter on cross-channel. AiSensy is the no-frills cheapest WhatsApp tool — light on everything else. BiteSpeed is the closest direct competitor to QuickReply on Shopify D2C WhatsApp retention. None of them are built around the same axis we are: one AI agent trained on your knowledge base, deployed across WhatsApp + Instagram + Facebook + web chat.

Does Spur work outside India?

Yes — we serve customers across 25+ countries. The WhatsApp Business API works globally with Meta's per-country, per-category pricing. Our Shopify integration is global. We host core data on AWS Frankfurt with named subprocessors in the US (Google, Cloudflare). Our site is localized in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and Indonesian.

Can I migrate my WhatsApp Business number from QuickReply to Spur?

Yes — but chat and contact history is erased during BSP-to-BSP migration (Meta-side rule, not a vendor-side issue). WABA verification and quality tier carry over. Plan for the history loss, archive what matters, and budget 2–6 weeks end-to-end depending on flow complexity. Our team will walk through the technical sequence — start by talking to us before disconnecting anything from QuickReply.

How does Spur handle security and compliance?

We operate under GDPR with customer data hosted on AWS Frankfurt and WhatsApp data localization set to Europe at number setup. Our DPA, subprocessor list and current security packet — including SOC 2 controls documentation — are shared under NDA with buyers in procurement review. Email security@spurnow.com or talk to your account contact. For lighter reviews, our public GDPR statement and DPA cover most of the standard questions.

How long does Spur take to set up?

For a Shopify store running WhatsApp + Instagram + Facebook + web chat: a few hours, with our AI Agent crawled from your website and help docs and live the same day. Our Shopify merchant reviews repeatedly mention going live within hours with our onboarding team's help — no demo call required to start the trial.
