    Per WATI's docs, cancellation goes through the in-app billing widget at least 2 days before renewal. Auto-renewal is on by default; annual subs can't be terminated early. Plan the cutover around your renewal date — don't pay for an unused renewal cycle.

Is Spur a full WATI replacement?

Does WATI have AI agents?

Yes — four of them, which is part of the buyer-side confusion. (1) Legacy AI Support Agent (formerly KnowBot) being phased out, WhatsApp-only, PDFs / URLs only. (2) Astra as the newer flagship — web + WhatsApp + voice, with tool calling. (3) AI Co-pilot as a separate credit-metered add-on. (4) BYOA (Bring Your Own AI) at $100/mo with limited event types. Can I keep my WhatsApp number when switching?

Yes. Your WhatsApp Business Account lives on your Meta Business Manager, not WATI. The number is portable to a different BSP. Chat history doesn't always migrate; templates need re-approval through Meta; the cutover should be planned around in-flight campaigns and your WATI renewal date. See the migration guide above.

Does WATI offer a website live chat widget?

WATI has a website chat surface, but per its own help doc it's primarily a WhatsApp redirect button — visitors click it and get pushed into WhatsApp. It's not a website-native chat widget with an AI agent answering on the widget itself. We ship a real chat widget with a KB-trained AI agent on it, with seamless human handoff into the same shared inbox.

Does WATI charge per user?

Yes, above the included seats. Growth: 3 users, no additional users allowed (forced upgrade). Pro: 5 users, extras at $24/user/mo. Business: 5 users, extras at $69/user/mo. We're flat $15/user/mo regardless of plan.

What's WATI's automation trigger ceiling?

Growth 1,000/mo, Pro 2,000/mo, Business 5,000/mo. Automations stop when you hit the cap until you upgrade, buy more, or wait for the billing reset. Alerts fire at 80%, 90%, and 100%. We don't have a trigger ceiling — flows are bounded by plan count (3 / 25 / 50 / unlimited) but don't stop mid-month.

How does Spur handle security and compliance?

We operate under GDPR with customer data hosted on AWS Frankfurt and WhatsApp data localization set to Europe at number setup.
