Your WhatsApp Business API number is registered with Meta, not with Zoko. Switching BSP (Business Solution Provider) is a Meta-side operation; we handle the request on your behalf. Typical end-to-end timeline is 7–14 days, including parallel-running both platforms before fully switching traffic.

Yes — we support WhatsApp Commerce and WhatsApp Flows for in-chat catalog and form/checkout flows. Zoko has more public depth on Shopify-to-WhatsApp catalog sync mechanics (including documented 48-hour initial sync), but the core capability exists on both platforms.

Can Spur AI handle WhatsApp customer support like Zoko's Guru bot?

Yes — our AI agent is deployed across web chat, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger from the same trained knowledge base. The key difference: Spur's AI is one trained brain, not three task-specific bots (Guru / Wismo / Sello) with separate pricing meters. Do I need to bring my own OpenAI API key with Spur?

No. We handle the AI compute as part of your plan. AI credits are bundled (100 to 20,000 depending on plan), and overage is $12 per 1,000 credits. Zoko's Guru, Wismo and Sello bots require you to connect and fund your own OpenAI account — if your OpenAI wallet runs negative, the AI stops working.

How does Spur's AI live chat differ from Zoko's chat widget?

Our live chat widget is a native AI agent that answers questions inside your website experience, captures contact details, and hands off to humans through the shared inbox. Zoko's website widget is documented as a click-to-chat button that routes customers to WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook — the conversation leaves your site. Different shapes for different jobs; pick by where you want the conversation to live.

Does Spur work for non-Shopify stores?

Yes. We integrate natively with Shopify, WooCommerce, Nitro Commerce, and provide a help guide for connecting custom ecommerce platforms. Zoko is publicly Shopify-first — a Google Play reviewer in March 2026 explicitly noted Zoko was not available for WordPress.

What happens to my WhatsApp number if I cancel Spur?

WhatsApp Business API numbers stay registered with Meta. They can be transferred to another BSP, returned to a WhatsApp Business app account (with the standard Meta-side disconnection process), or remain inactive. Our terms state subscription and WhatsApp messaging fees are non-refundable, and wallet balance plus AI credits are forfeited on cancellation — this is strict, so budget owners should note it. Same caveat exists on Zoko's side, and Zoko's docs explicitly say WhatsApp migration does NOT auto-cancel the Zoko subscription.

Does Spur have a mobile app?

We have an Android app and a Safari "Add to Home Screen" PWA flow for iOS. Zoko has native iOS and Android apps. If native iOS app access is a hard requirement, Zoko is ahead — caveat that Zoko's Google Play app sits at 2.4★ across 36 reviews, and merchants commonly report preferring Zoko's web app for speed.

How does Spur handle security and compliance?
