Contact imports catch missing country codes
Spur now finds a country code column in your file, and warns you before importing numbers that look like they’re missing a code.
WhatsApp can only message a number that includes its country code, like 91 for India. When you upload a contact list, Spur now does two things to get this right.
If your file has the codes in a separate column, such as Country Code, Spur finds it and uses it automatically. If most of your numbers look like they’re missing a code, Spur warns you before you import, so you can fix it instead of ending up with contacts WhatsApp can’t reach.
Also, contacts who unsubscribed from your messages stay unsubscribed, even if the file you upload marks them as subscribed.
